Bold and Precious Clover

“Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be His treasured possession.” You are precious to God just like a child is precious to their parents. God sees you as His treasure, His beloved, and His darling.”

Deuteronomy 14:2

Luck is up to chance. Who is chance anyway? Blessing is in obedience to God’s Word. Which one do you place your faith in? A God who favors his children or faith in the hands of chance? Imagine a field of green, a child curiously searching for 4-leaf clovers, a societal representation of “luck.” Clovers abound in this lush green field; however, most are 3-leaf...yet, when a 4-leaf clover is found, the sounds of joy erupt. That is how God sees us in a world full of 3-leaf clovers. We are His 4-leaf clover; rare, treasured, celebrated, seen as unique, set apart, and unlike the others.

Deuteronomy 14:2 says: “Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be His treasured possession.” You are precious to God just like a child is precious to their parents. God sees you as His treasure, His beloved, and His darling.”

Living and Trusting the Lord as our guide to living a set-apart life takes intention and courage. God has set you apart and equipped you like He did Ester, for “such a time as this”. We are reminded in His Word repeatedly, “do not conform to the ways of the world” renew your mind in a world full of 3-leaf clovers, be the 4-leaf clover! It’s the Trinity; Father, Son, Holy Spirit, AND You!

Romans 12:1-2 NIV Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.

Obeying God’s commands brings favor to your life because we are His rare and precious treasures. It’s easy to shed a leaf and go with “the World,” but you are shedding far more than a leaf…you are forgetting your uniquely created identity and call not to conform to “the world.” Your shedding part of the Trinity…We are made in the image of God, so why would anyone let any of his Goodness and Glory fall from our lives?

James 1:13-18 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

God has set us apart and equipped us to resist evil and be courageous in adversity. So boldly stand tall and let your four-leafs be seen by everyone, shining your radiance and unique identity for all to see. God has placed you in His garden, and He is the one nourishing your soul to resist the temptations of “the world.”

Joshua 10:25 NLT “Do not be afraid or troubled. Be strong and have strength of heart.
